K.S.P. Trooper killed in crash yesterday while off duty
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is grieving the loss of one of their own following a fatal crash in Warren County. Trooper Johnathan Johnson, 48, tragically lost his life in the collision yesterday while off duty.
Trooper Johnson, a dedicated nine-year veteran of the agency, was assigned to patrol Muhlenberg County. He graduated from Cadet Class 92 and served at both the Madisonville and Bowling Green KSP posts during his tenure.
In a statement released by KSP Captain Derek Smith, he expressed the agency’s profound sadness over Trooper Johnson’s passing, stating, “Trooper Johnson served and protected Kentucky’s families through the Kentucky State Police, and they are saddened by this loss.”
Funeral arrangements for Trooper Johnson have not yet been announced.
