K-9 unit detects synthetic marijuana during traffic stop

DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two men are under arrest after deputies say a K-9 unit detected synthetic marijuana during a traffic stop in Danville.

Deputies say the traffic stop in the Liquor Barn parking lot was initiated because the 2 men in the car weren’t wearing seat belts.

During the stop, Deputy K-9 NiKi found individual packaged units of synthetic marijuana, along with cash and other paraphernalia.

Deputies say they also discovered that the driver, Justin A. Kidd had two warrants out of Boyle Co.  Along with those warrants, Kidd was charged with trafficking and possession of paraphernalia, along with several traffic violations.

The passenger, Justin M. Allen, was also charged with trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Boyle Co. Detention Center.
