Join local organizations in saying no more to school violence

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)-Students around the nation are making their voices heard after the deadly shooting in Florida.

A student organization, Student’s for Student Safety is organizing a rally and sit-in to make a stand for student safety.

Along with the organization,  Marshall County High School students will be holding a sit-in at the Kentucky State Capitol on Wednesday, March 14 at the Capitol from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Locally in Lexington, students, Moms Demand Action, BGAA, and other groups will hold a march in response to the national march.

The march is meant to take a stand to say no more violence in a school setting; not to students, not to teachers.

The local march will be held on Saturday, March 24 from 4 to 6 PM at the Fayette County Circuit Courthouse located at 120 N Limestone Street.
