Jessamine County rescue searching for dog that escaped after adoption

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A local animal rescue organization is asking for the public’s help locating a dog that ran away shortly after being adopted.

According to PAWS 4 The Cause, the dog escaped around 6:30 p.m. Sunday night, shortly after going home with her new family.

Officials say the dog was last seen wearing a purple collar on Jessamine Station Road near Combs Lane and Butler Boulevard. She was reportedly heading through a field toward the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.

Anyone who sees the dog or has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact PAWS 4 The Cause.
