Jessamine County Homeless Coalition Needs Help

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Jessamine County Homeless Coalition is urgently asking for community support as they face the possibility of having to shut their doors due to a lack of funds.

The coalition, which has been relying on donations to stay afloat in recent months, warns that without immediate financial help, they will be forced to close. This would leave dozens of people in Jessamine County who rely on their services without the essential support they need.

“This is down to paying the bills, the rent, and the electric,” said John Templin, Executive Director of the Jessamine County Homeless Coalition. “Monetary donations are what we need most, and people can donate on the fly right now, either through Venmo or PayPal—our handle is ‘jchcky’ on both platforms.”

The coalition provides a range of services, including an emergency shelter for both men and women, showers, meals, laundry facilities, and more.

Community members are encouraged to contribute and help keep this vital resource available to those in need.
