JCACC requests help, caring for rescued dogs.
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) — On September 12, Officers from the Jessamine County Animal Care and Control seized 19 dogs from a residence on Green Street, Nicholasville, after a report of animal cruelty and subsequent search warrant.
With breeds varying from Chihuahua, Dachshund, and Saint Bernard, on top of several other recent animal cruelty cases, the sudden cost of caring for these extra dogs has strained their resources, says the JCACC. They are asking the public for donations toward the care of these animals, accepting both cash donations through their website: [http://www.adoptapet.com/JCACC/donate/] or food donations, also specified on their website.
The JCACC office says they will file a criminal complaint against the owner on Monday, for 19 counts of animal cruelty.
15 of those dogs will be available for adoption as soon as their health permits.
