Jayden Quaintance remains out for Kentucky as they are set to host Texas

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky star big man Jayden Quaintance will remain out for Wednesday’s game against Texas. Kentucky coach Mark Pope said he is “super optimistic” that Quaintance will return soon.

Quaintance has been recovering from a torn ACL. He made his debut against St. John’s in December and played in the following three games before being ruled out again because of knee swelling.

Wednesday’s home game against Texas will be the fourth straight contest Quaintance has missed.

He last played on January 7th against Missouri.
