Jasper Johnson and Team USA break records in blowout win over Jordan
Lausanne, Switzerland (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Incoming Kentucky Wildcat Jasper Johnson and Team USA made history in a dominant 140–67 win over Jordan at the FIBA U19 World Cup on Wednesday.
The USA broke their scoring record with 140 points and broke the tournament’s steals record with 31 — a mark that had stood for 30 years.
Johnson contributed to the blowout with eight points in 15 minutes, going 3-for-6 from the field, and adding two rebounds, one assist, and one block.
Next up, Team USA will take on Canada on Friday, July 4.
