Bacon Kale Twirls

Serves 12
Ingredients:
1- Sheet Puff Pastry
1-pound bacon, diced, cooked and drained
8 ounces Cream cheese room temp
1/2-Cup Kale, Deveined and chopped fine
1-Cup Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
2-TBSP Honey
1 –tsp Ground Black Pepper
1-tsp Garlic Powder
½-tsp Onion Powder
1/4-tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Mix the cream cheese, honey, Kale, bacon, shredded cheese, black pepper, and red pepper into a paste.
- Lay out the sheets of Puff pastry and poke with a fork (Dock It).
- Spread the mix evenly over dough, Edge to edge,
- Then roll up starting with the long side, roll tight. Wrap in film and place in fridge for 20-25 mins, this allows it to set up.
- Then remove and slice into 12 pieces, they will be slightly smaller than a ½ inch.
- Place on a parchment lined baking sheet, and bake for 20-25 mins or until golden brown.
