“It’s good for the kids.”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It wasn’t originally about recruiting Solid Blue fans.

Coach Cal started the NBA combine practice “pro day” for his players and it’s grown exponentially into a TV event for fans and prospects alike.

It’ll move from the Joe Craft Center to Rupp Arena this season…still just with the NBA scouts in attendance.

It’s a trend a lot of folks are starting to put into practice this year.  Programs who once couldn’t or wouldn’t, Missouri and UofL to name a few, are now promoting their events.

So is Cal okay with being copycatted?

Hear from Cal in the video.
