“It changed everything.”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It was a stressful decision but a welcomed one.

Football Cat Josh Allen could have put his name in the NFL Draft, but elected to come back to Lexington.

One might think it’s solely to improve draft stock or follow in the footsteps of Bud Dupree or Za’Darius Smith.  Those folks wouldn’t know about Allen’s newborn baby boy coming into the world.

Mike Edwards was hearing his name could go in the third and fourth rounds…maybe later.  He wants something more concrete.

He’s a defensive leader the Cats are excited to get back for a senior campaign.

Part of the reason to return?  Edwards wants to graduate.

Hear from Allen and Edwards in the video.
