Is Cal’s UK close to Wooden’s UCLA status?

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky basketball is the gold standard just as John Calipari says it is.

UK is just a cut above the rest right now.  Is it UCLA-back-in-the-day good?

No.  That’s Cal’s answer.

You won’t see another program do what UCLA did according to Cal.

Consecutive seasons of greatness can be achieved every now and then if a coach can strike lightning in a bottle.

But for the most part, and for Cal and Solid Blue fans, it ain’t happening.

Not with the same guys and over a span of a decade anyway.

Despite knowing that…knowing it’ll be tougher to win consistently every season…Cal’s happy and thinks fans are too.
