Investigators look for cause to Ohio Street fire
Fire on exterior of home, according to firefighters
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators are searching for the cause of a fire that damaged an Ohio Street home Monday morning.
The fire was reported at about 7:15 a.m. when residents at 365 Ohio Street smelled smoke in the residence. When firefighters arrived two minutes later, they saw smoke and the people in the home had gotten out safely, according to Battalion Chief Jordan Saas.
Firefighters found the fire on the outside in the rear area of the home. It was quickly extinguished and the fire was contained to the exterior with smoke on the inside, Saas said.
