Investigators: Fire that caused house explosion appears intentional
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators looking into the house explosion in Georgetown on Wednesday believe the fire that caused that explosion was intentionally set.
The Georgetown Fire Department responded to a report of a house explosion and fire at 806 Seminole Trail around 2:30 a.m.
Firefighters discovered a body after the fire was put out.
The Scott County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman inside as 61-year-old Susan Dianne Brady.
According to the Georgetown Fire Department, investigators believe the fire was intentionally started inside the home and caused two explosions.
The fire department says investigators do not currently suspect foul play.
The investigation is ongoing.
