Investigation into unsportsmanlike action at high school game

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – An incident caught on camera during a high school football playoff game in eastern Kentucky is stirring up comments on social media.

According to the The Times-Tribune, Ryan Moses posted a video from Friday night’s regional match-up between Williamsburg and Paintsville reportedly showing a man shoving the Willamsburg quarterback.

I don’t know who needs to see this, but a Williamsburg High School player was hit out of bounds by a Paintsville COACH!

Ryan Moses is calling on the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) to investigate.

The Tribune received a statement from the KHSAA Communications Director Joe Angolia.

“This incident is not something that falls under the KHSAA’s jurisdiction, as it is outside of the NFHS football playing rules,” Angolia told the Tribune. “This situation should be handled at the local level by the member schools.”

The newspaper reports the school is internally investigating.
