Investigation underway after blood is found in dumpster

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An investigation is ongoing after blood was found running out of a dumpster at an apartment complex in Lexington.

Police say they responded to Thoroughbred Crossing Apartments on Village Drive Saturday afternoon.

A witness reported seeing blood running out of the dumpster.

ABC 36 was told bloody tissue and evidence of an afterbirth were found.

The Fayette County Coroner has taken over the investigation.
