Investigation underway after man found dead along road in Rowan County

ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — An investigation is underway after a man was found dead along a roadway in Rowan County, according to the coroner’s office.

Officials say the body of a 41-year-old man was discovered Wednesday afternoon on Rock Fork Road near the Fleming County line. Authorities have not publicly released the victim’s name.

The Rowan County Coroner says the body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

Investigators have not released additional details, and the case remains active.
