Investigation underway after body is discovered on Triport Road in Scott County

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – An investigation is underway in Scott County after a body was discovered on Triport Road in Georgetown Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, officials responded to the area around 4 p.m. Detectives with the agency’s Criminal Investigation’s section responded to the call, but no cause of death has been determined.

An autopsy will be performed at the Kentucky State Police Central Laboratory, and the case remains under investigation.
