Investigation Leads To Forgery Charges
Two Breathitt County men are in jail after police said they were passing counterfeit money in Lexington.
Willie Collins, 32, and Steven Napier, 33, were arrested Wednesday.
According to court documents, they were being investigated for making and passing fake bills.
Police said a search of their hotel room turned up items used to make counterfeit money.
Collins was arrested and charged with 21 counts of forgery because officials said they found 21 fake bills in his wallet.
Napier was also arrested, but charged with only three counts of forgery for the three fake bills officials said were in his wallet.
Both are set to be arraigned in court Thursday.
