Investigation continues after fire destroys home in Somerset

SOMERSET, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – An investigation is underway into a fire that destroyed a family’s home in Pulaski County. The Somerset Fire Department reported the fire broke out Sunday on Cotter Avenue.

When crews arrived, they found flames coming from the windows and roof. The fire was so intense the floors inside the home collapsed during the blaze. The fire also spread to a neighbor’s home.

Fortunately, everyone made it out safely, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
