Investigation after juvenile dies in officer-involved crash

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — An investigation is underway following a deadly collision involving an off-duty Lancaster police officer and a young motorcyclist in Pulaski County. According to Kentucky State Police, the incident occurred Saturday night on U.S. 27 near Old Norwood Road.

Authorities say 31-year-old Officer Derrick Glover was driving a police vehicle while off-duty when he allegedly collided with the back of an off-road motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a juvenile who was not wearing a helmet, tragically died as a result of the crash.

State Police confirmed that Officer Glover was not injured in the collision. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
