Interested in Lexington’s Citizens’ Fire Academy?
LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Lexington’s Citizens’ Fire Academy is way for the average person to learn more about what firefighters do everyday.
The Citizens’ Fire Academy is a dynamic 10-week program designed to provide participants with an inside view of the organization and operations of the Lexington Fire Department, the department says.
According to the fire department, the curriculum includes live demonstrations, classroom learning and hand-on experiences.
The entire program is free and open to anyone over the age of 18 who either lives or works in Fayette County.
