Inmate walks away from Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex
WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (WTVQ) –Jail officials with the Easter Kentucky Correctional Complex say a minimum-security inmate walked away from a work detail at a local tree farm.
Officials say 40-year-old John Parrott walked off around 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Parrott was serving a 38-year sentence for convictions out of Nelson and Jefferson counties for second degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking, first-degree burglary, receiving stolen property, second-degree robbery, possession of handgun by convicted felon, first-degree wanton Endangerment and second-degree escape.
Parrott would have been eligible for parole this March.
Parrott is described as 6 foot, 210 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes.
