Inmate mistakenly released from jail

ASHLAND, Ky. (WTVQ) – An inmate’s taste of freedom was brief Tuesday after he was wrongfully released from jail in Boyd County.

Officials say 31-year old James Brewer, of Ashland, was brought back to jail about two hours after being mistakenly released.

Records show Brewer was in jail, accused of assaulting an officer and fraudulent use of a credit card.
