Runs from Pineville Health Care Wednesday night
PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ/WRIL) – Inmate fakes injury, assaults deputy to escape.
Just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, a Bell County Detention Center inmate, 38-year-old Juanita Olyene Robinson, of Baxter, Ky., was taken to Pineville Community Health Care after complaining of a supposed head injury, according to Pike County investigators.
While at the hospital waiting to be assessed, Robinson attempted to escape through the ceiling of a room. When that failed she assaulted the female deputy jailer who escorted her and ran from the hospital across Highway 25E into traffic, the jail administration said.
Pineville City Police and Bell County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and began searching for Robinson in the Pineville area.
Juanita Robinson is 5’ 8”, 150 lbs. with red/auburn hair, and hazel eyes. She was originally arrested on a parole violation from a five-year sentence of theft of identity of another without consent.
Robinson is now facing additional charges of assaulting an officer and second-degree escape.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bell County Dispatch at 606-337-6174.
