Inmate dies at Mason County jail

MAYSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Police are investigating after an inmate died at the Mason County Detention Center.

Mason County Jailer Gerald Curtis told The Ledger-Independent (http://bit.ly/1A4Tj46) that 27-year-old Audrey Fulton, who had been an inmate since Oct. 28, died Friday.

He said she was placed in medical isolation for detoxification due to a drug addiction after she arrived.

The newspaper reports the Mason County Sheriff is investigating, and the medical examiner’s office in northern Kentucky will perform the autopsy to determine the cause of death.
