Infant found in dumpster

PADUCAH, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities in Paducah are investigating after a baby was found alive inside a dumpster.

The infant was discovered Thursday in a vin on the street behind an apartment complex.  The baby was taken to the hospital, and is reportedly in stable condition.  Police say they are now looking for a male suspect seen in the area.

Kentucky does have a safe haven law that allows parents to anonymously leave a newborn baby with any emergency medical services provider, police officer, firefighter or employee at a hospital.
