Indiana pastor arrested for seeking sex with minor in Frankfort
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Indiana pastor has been charged for attempting to arrange a sexual meetup with a minor in Frankfort.
According to the Cyber Crimes Unit, 46-year-old David James Brown used the KIK messenger application and began communicating with an undercover investigator posing as a minor. While using the app, detectives say Brown requested the undercover operative to engage in sex acts with him.
Investigators say Brown then traveled to Frankfort Thursday morning to meet the presumed minor, only to be arrested by cyber investigators. During his arrest, detectives say Brown told them he was employed as head pastor of the First Christian Church of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Brown was taken to the Franklin Co. Detention Center on a $10,000 dollar bond. His arraignment is today.
