Inching closer to the unveiling of the St. Jude dream home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – We are inching closer to the big unveiling of the St. Jude dream home in Hamburg.

The builder’s have been hard at work, and to celebrate how far they have come, sponsors and community members who contributed, came together to sign the floor of the house.

“Best wishes”, “god be with you”, “smile”, and “for the kids”, just a few of the sayings left by contributors on the floor of the master bedroom.

DB homes says those signatures mean more than just leaving a mark.

“It’s neat to see everybody come together as a community and do something that is for the betterment. The generosity we see from people and the excitement, especially the first day the house is open and to see everything finally finished.”

“We are zoning in on almost 2.5 million dollars raised in our fourth year doing this project, this year we are in a spot where the lot was donated as well, it may not sound like a big thing but in today’s market, especially in Fayette County, it’s huge.”

We are less than a month away from the grand opening of the St. Jude dream home and you still have time to be in the running.

“We are pretty happy with this house this year, we have actually put in three secret rooms that we are going to allow people to come in and take a look at it and see if they can find them.”

On May 19th you will be able to take your very own tour of the dream home.
