“I’m proud of how we fought back.”
LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Despite losing arguably their best player, losing Stephen Johnson for a part of the game and trailing 17-7 at half, the Kentucky Wildcats still managed to claw their way back into the game.
A Stephen Johnson rushing touchdown with just over thirty seconds to play put the Cats one point away from tying the ballgame.
Coach Mark Stoops opted to go for two, but it wasn’t meant to be.
The Cats lost the Music City Bowl 24-23.
Here’s what Stoops had to say after the game.
