Idea State U Competition Comes to Lexington
Future entrepreneurs from across the Commonwealth were competing Saturday for a chance to get their businesses off and running.
The sixth annual "Idea State U Competition" was held at the Lexington Center Friday and Saturday afternoon.
Eighteen teams from eight state universities competed in pitching their business models to judges for a chance to win a total of 100 thousand dollars.
The teams were broken up into graduate and undergraduate groups with first prize getting more than 35 thousand dollars towards starting their business.
The money was given by the State Economic Development Corporation.
The winners will be announced on Monday.
