“I had to do it.”

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – In close games like the cats were in on Saturday, late game decisions can win or lose ball games.

One decision Mark Stoops made worked out even though many questioned it.

On Fourth and Goal on the two yard line with under two minutes to go, Stoops opted to go for the field goal and extend their lead to six…instead of going for it and trying score.

As we all know, Missouri would drive down the field, but come up short.

On Saturday, Stoops was asked why he decided to settle for the field goal.
