I-75 reopens following semi-truck fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Southbound I-75 is open after being closed due to a semi-truck fire.

According to Battalion Chief Jordan Saas, the Lexington Fire Department was dispatched just before 10 p.m. to I-75 mile marker 101 for the report of a semi-truck fire.

Saas says crew extinguished the fire quickly, but the southbound lanes were closed until around 2 a.m. for cleanup.

No injuries were reported.
