Pedestrian killed in I-75 crash identified
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Laurel County Coroner has identified the man killed in a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident as 47-year-old James Zeo of Corbin. According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred on I-75, just south of Mile Marker 29 in the southbound lane.
Deputy Brad Mink, who led the investigation, reported that Zeo entered the path of a southbound Odyssey van on an unlit portion of the roadway, resulting in the fatal collision. Zeo was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner’s Office. The driver of the van was uninjured.
