I-64 Lane Closure Set For Tuesday In Fayette Co.

The state warned drivers Monday about a temporary lane closure that was scheduled to happen on I-64 in Fayette County.

It said the right/ slow lane at mile point 81 would be closed Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The closure was needed to prepare for a transportation product evaluation program that involved several states.

Officials said the work in Kentucky would include test deck installations that would gather information on the products most needed to improve the highway.

Scheduled work could change due to weather issues.
