Hundreds honor Jessamine County paramedic John Mackey

Nicholasville, Ky. (WTVQ) – Hundreds came out today to say goodbye to Jessamine County Paramedia John Mackey.

The turnout was a testament to the type of person Mackey was. Those who knew him said they were better persons because of Mackey.

Nicholasville Police say Mackey was on his way to a call when he was hit by a car. He later died from his injuries.

While it was a sad day, there were also a lot of laughs. People said that Mackey loved life and had a passion for helping others. They also said his laughter and his dedication to the people of this community will be what they miss most.
