Hundreds attend Pearse Lyons’ public visitation
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- People who knew or admired the late businessman, Pearse Lyons were able to pay their respects Friday during a public visitation in Lexington.
Hundreds of people came out to the public visitation at Milward Funeral Home.
People from around the world came to Lyons’ visitation to celebrate the life of the Irishman known for building his multi-billion dollar company, Alltech, right here in Nicholasville.
Also not forgotten, his love of beer and bourbon which he brought to life with his own brewing and distilling company in Lexington.
Those who knew Lyons best say he lit up any room he walk into and was known for make every person he met feel special.
“He made people feel really important. It didn’t matter who they were, they felt very important and very special to him and he always said don’t ever lose the common touch and he absolutely lived that,” said Susanna Elliott, head of communications at Alltech.
Lyons’ funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cathedral of Christ the King in Lexington
