Humphries recalls learning to set screens

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Isaac Humphries has quietly helped Kentucky keep pace in the post.  There’s still no stud down low for the Cats, but Humphries does bring some physicality to the paint.

Coach Cal has been high on Isaac since losing Alex Poythress and needing the big Australian to give the team something in order to win games.

And while Cal is still praising Humphries, coach knows without Poythress and likely Marcus Lee at 100 percent for the Texas A&M game tomorrow, Isaac might not be enough.

Humphries has developed into a shot blocker in Lexington.  He says that’s new for him.

But he really prides himself on setting screens.  It’s one of the first things he learned growing up in Australia…and his current teammates agree he’s solid.

For Isaac, it’s one of those things he’ll always remember because of the story that goes with it.

Hear from Cal and Humphries in the video.
