Human remains found in Jessamine County identified as Lancaster man, KSP says
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police say human remains discovered earlier this year in Jessamine County have been identified as a missing Lancaster man.
According to a release, KSP’s Richmond Post says the remains, located on March 13, 2025, in woods along Sulphur Well Road, have been confirmed by the State Medical Examiner’s Office as those of 27-year-old Timothy F. Sterner Jr.
KSP says the investigation began while troopers were following up on leads in a missing person case. The skeletal remains were recovered that day by the Jessamine County Coroner’s Office and sent to Frankfort for identification.
At the family’s request, KSP is asking the public and media to respect their privacy during this time.
