Housekeeper, Stefanic get new Scott County Schools posts
SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Scott County Schools have named two top administrators heading into the new school year.
Tabetha Housekeeper is the new Director of Student Services.

Housekeeper has served as Principal of Lemons Mill Elementary School since 2018 being Assistant Principal and a teacher for five years.
Housekeeper started her career as a teacher at Anne Mason Elementary School.
“I am excited to continue working with principals and school and district leaders to provide support to students and families in our community,” Housekeeper stated. “It will be my job to provide the tools needed to access resources for students as we build relationships with families.”
In her role as Director of Student Services, she will work to navigate the recovery of learning for students as she provides support to schools and works to create and strengthen community partnerships.
“Tabetha Housekeeper has a passion for service and a clear vision for the future of this position,” noted Superintendent-Elect Billy Parker. “She has been an instrumental part of the student recovery team and will continue this work in her role as Director of Student Services.”
Housekeeper earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown College where she also completed a Master of Science in Learning & Behavior Disorders. She also holds a Master of Science in Instructional Leadership from Asbury.
While it is difficult for her to leave the students and staff of Lemons Mill, Housekeeper looks forward to helping the school as they begin the process of hiring a new principal.
Tabetha and husband Shan have been married for 16 years and have three children: twins Zaden and Zyler are 13 and attend Scott County Middle School. Nine-year-old Zimrie will be in fourth grade at Lemons Mill Elementary.
Damon Stefanic is the new Director of Human Resources.

Stefanic has served as Principal at Garth Elementary School since 2017. He was previously Administrative Dean at Simmons Elementary in Woodford County and Assistant Principal at Painted Stone Elementary in Shelby County and was also a teacher at Georgetown Middle School.
“It will be my plan as the new Human Resources Director to create sustainable systems in order to recruit, hire, and retain highly qualified personnel to provide our students every opportunity to pursue their ambitions and aspirations,” Stefanic said.
“Hiring the right people to serve Scott County Schools is of paramount importance for our district,” Superintendent-Elect Billy Parker reflected.
“Damon Stefanic is organized with keen attention to detail. He possesses both the strength of character and ability to lead that are necessary to be successful in this role.”
Stefanic holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Chester University and Masters of Arts degrees in both Educational Leadership and Gifted & Talented, from Eastern Kentucky University.
“I will certainly miss my time as Principal of Garth Elementary. The students, staff, and families have always been supportive of our efforts to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students. Garth Elementary is a special place for kids to dream and learn,” Stefanic added.
Damon and wife Stephanie live in Georgetown with their daughters, Adalynn (10), and Brookelynn (8). Adalynn and Brookelynn are students at Garth and will miss being at school with their dad.
