House gutted after fire on Forest Cove Lane

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Firefighters say a home on Forest Cove Lane was totally gutted in an early morning fire on Thursday.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, the flames broke out around 7:00 a.m.

Two people were able to exit the home to safety, one of whom jumped out of a second-story window to escape.

Both were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

2 dogs and 2 cats are still unaccounted for.

No word on what started the fire.
