House Fire Temporarily Closes Rose Street in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A section of Rose Street in Lexington was closed during the afternoon commute on Wednesday due to a house fire.

The Lexington Fire Department says the initial call was for an electrical fire at a home.

Firefighters say there was smoke visible when they arrived on the scene.

Investigators say the small fire spread to the attic. They say it appeared to have started in the rear of the house.

No one was hurt.

The cause is under investigation.
