Horton the wrecking ball
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Mikel Horton has the size to be an imposing back.
At 6’1″, 225, the sophomore looks like a wrecking ball coming out of the backfield to most defenders.
He laid the wood on Louisiana-Lafayette late when needed to secure the Cats first victory of the season.
Then Horton kind of vanished when he got his turn to run after that.
But he finally looked back to form late against Tennessee when Boom Williams went down.
Horton ran the ball 14 times for 109 yards. That’s nearly 8 yards per rush.
So, what got into him?
Hear from offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson in the video.
