Horses dead in Chanteclair Farm barn fire
WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – At least five horses were killed Wednesday morning after a fire broke out at Chanteclair Farm in Woodford County.
Fire officials tell ABC 36 News that the fire started in a barn at the farm on Aiken Road. It quickly spread to another barn, they say.
Chanteclair Farm was owned by Prince Khaled and was known for its champion thoroughbreds. When Prince Khaled died about four years ago, the farm and horses were sold.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
