Horse lovers “liftoff” for Maker’s Mark Secretariat Center

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ)- Some people spent their Sunday afternoon horsing around in honor of the ASPCA’s National Help a Horse Day.

The Maker’s Mark Secretariat Center hosted a horseless horse show at Liftoff Equestrian in Versailles.

People jumped over human sized jumps. There were classes for grand prix jumpers, working hunters, even puissance lovers.

The event worked toward helping the MMSC win a grant from the ASPCA that would help the center continue to retrain and re-home off-track thoroughbreds.
