Hopkinsville woman arrested for alleged grave desecration in Crofton
CROFTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police say a Hopkinsville woman has been arrested after allegedly desecrating a family member’s grave in Crofton.
Troopers say the investigation began around 5 p.m. on March 5 after they were contacted by Christian County Dispatch.
Investigators say 46-year-old Jessica Hamby of Hopkinsville damaged a grave at a property on South Madisonville Street.
Authorities say Hamby was arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse and violating graves. She was taken to the Christian County Jail.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
