Homeowner shoots intruder
A Corbin man has been released from the hospital and taken to jail in Laurel County after a homeowner reportedly shot him for intruding. Deputies say the homeowner returned home Friday morning to find 40-year-old Otis Kemp had broken in.
He then apparently shot Kemp with a shotgun according to Deputies. They say Kemp ran into the woods, but Deputies found him and had him airlifted to UK Hospital. Now that Kemp is out of the hospital and in jail he’s charged with burglary, criminal mischief, evading police, and terroristic threatening.
