Holiday adjustments to garbage pickup in Lexington begin Wednesday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – If you normally have your garbage picked-up on Fridays in Lexington, it will be picked up on Wednesday this week because of the Fourth of July holiday.
People and businesses with Friday pickup should place their carts out on Tuesday, June 30, to ensure collection the following day.
Businesses with dumpsters normally services on Fridays, will have their units picked-up on Thursday, July 2.
Businesses with dumpsters, normally serviced by the city on Thursdays will have their units serviced on Wednesday, July 1.
The truck that runs downtown will operate as normal on the holiday, Saturday, July 4.
The Haley Pike Waste Management Facility and the Lexington Recycle Center will be closed on Friday, July 3, as well as the holiday.
The Electronics Recycle Center remains closed as part of the city’s response to the pandemic.
