Hillary Clinton apologizes for using private email account
WASHINGTON (AP) – Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton is shifting her tune when it comes to the use of a private email account during her time as secretary of state.
She tells ABC News it “was a mistake” and she is “sorry about that.” Clinton had declined to apologize for using the email system in interviews on Friday and Monday.
Still, the issue is likely to stick around.
Two powerful Senate chairmen say they’re considering immunity orders for a former aide who maintained Clinton’s personal server. Lawyers for Bryan Pagliano have said he would plead the Fifth if asked about the server.
