Hiker rescued after falling off cliff while reaching for Airpods
WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Crews say they rescued a hiker after she fell off a cliff in the Red River Gorge Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team, a woman says she was trying to reach the Airpods she had dropped when she lost her footing and went over the edge of a cliff.
Rescue crews say team members had to rappel down 15-20 feet to save her. Officials say the hiker was not hurt.
